The new MVC503x-2-RS actuators, represent our new solution for motorizing small and medium size globe valves & PICVs, achieving onboard control as well as connectivity without the need to add a PLC on the upper level.
MVC503x-2-RS actuators are equipped with a 24V motor, RS485 port and a USB port for the delivery of proportional control signal. This signal can be sent “traditionally” from the PLC with Vdc signal, or through the BMS via Modbus RS485 either Bacnet MS/TP.
Furthermore, the actuator is able to read up to two temperature sensors for the monitoring of Supply Temp and Return Temp into the pipes. With these info, the actuator can perform a variety of P+I+D control loops on its own without the need to be managed by a PLC, so You may save a lot of money.
For example we can manage the DeltaT between Return and Supply lines for maintaining the efficiency of the circuit as high as possible.
All the above settings can be done through our configuration tools, one for RS485 connection, and another one for USB connection.
